Thread: Bold St "mirage" shop window

Default Bold St "mirage" shop window

What was the name of the shop in Bold St that had a window which created a sort of optical illusion. It seemed to be scooped out and played tricks with the eyes. Can anyone put a date on it? Thanks.

I seem to remember this was a car showroom, about halfway up Renshaw Street, or is my memory playing tricks?

Could be around 50 years ago!

G.B.E. the Vauxhall dealers in Renshaw Street,

Great fun standing at the bus stop looking at the reflections of all the women in the queue. As you bent down the women became fatter, when you stood tall the lumpy head scarfs became huge.

    BTW.

"My name is Harry Worth, I don't know why, but there it is."

This is my shop window optical illusion.
