    Default O Boats

Just an observation whilst having my 11am coffee and twix...

Looking at AIS this morning shows the occupants of Seaforth Dock to be three panamax bulk carriers, all with names starting "O".
    Ogna
    Oregon
    Ostria S

and another, slightly smaller ship in Gladstone, also with an O name

Now in Rotherhithe London - been here for 18 years but still not convinced - must go home at some point!

Many companies name series of boats starting with the same letter.

In Harrison's the panamax bulkers began with S.
The smaller bulk carriers began with W.
The container ships began with A.

Well its obviously a sign, if you combine it with the report of aliens being on Earth - which doesn't come as surprise to me, you should see some of the creatures down here on the Jubilee Line in the mornings.

It could mean that the aliens are from a planet beginning with O
    or
that the sign shop in the shipyard had plenty of Os in the drawer
    or
that its nearly time for lunch.

I'm going with option 3, for a meal deal from Boots (combined with another complaint that for the third week running they have had no Beef Monster Munch...)

I used to travel into work on the Jubilee line every morning, swapping to the Met line at Finchley Road to complete my journey to Baker St. Had to do that because the Jubilee train would be so packed by the time it was at Baker St it was touch-and-go whether you could make it to a door to get off.
