No one let me, but if you look at the back of the building it's obvious

I was scared there might be sensors or alarms guarding the roof, but obviously the bank can't envisage prospective raiders abseiling in from black helicopters, and so I didn't get caught! There'd probably be a big fuss if they'd found me up there, and perhaps I'd have branded a 'prankster' or 'mindless idiot' or something, but it was totally safe. The way I saw it, I couldn't resist seeing the view from up there... it's a beautiful scene, it's perfectly quiet and I can take night photos at my leisure without some leering drunk or scally mob trying to attack me. The nice thing about all the regeneration in the city is that these opportunities come and go, so there's often something new to try.

This one was from the top of the Unity Towers site last February. Doesn't really compare to the bank one as my camera then didn't allow long exposures...

That one looks really good as it is. You could always try softening it with Photoshop, but I prefer

    sharper photos...

I'm charging up this proper camera for longer this time, so hopefully I can get more satisfying images tonight.

    Only

satisfied with about 4 of what I did on sunday night and I can't get rid of pixels on them!

Going to redo some but mostly around the dock

    area.

It wasn't a building, and it wasn't easy!! I suppose I worked up from it ever since hopping a fence to take a leak once or twice on the way home from a

night out. You just have to be stealthy and stupid I think!

Next time you go out, you should try and do a panoramic pictures - they're loads of fun.

If you've got a tripod, then take a series of photos that overlap, then download Autostitch (it's free) and it'll stick them all together.

    I never did the

Paradise cranes! So far they're the ones I'm most nervous of trying - there are always people working in there, and it's lit up. Still, a mate of mine did

one after a night out on the piss... not a good idea!

I'd recommend getting a tripod - opens up lots of possibilities if your camera will let you do

    long exposures.
