No its not the result of the Public Enquiry.

But there was a minor decision (some wouldn't call it minor!) made last Friday by the council.

The city council has agreed to the possible disposal of some extra public land adjacent to the Garden Festival site.

This will only happen if the soon to be announced Public Enquiry decision goes in favour of the developers.

The extra land is needed by the Langtree McClean development and had mistakenly been missed off the original plans because of a mix up over where the boundary was.

The plan was supplied by LML’s landscape architect and they had assumed that the lease boundary followed the line of the fence around the site. It has since become clear that when the fence was erected by the MDC who originally owned the site and granted the lease they did not follow the lease boundary at every point and in the location of the proposed finger blocks the fence line is a few metres outside of the lease boundary. This means that an additional area of land needs to be included in the proposed new leases.

    Also story from ICLIVERPOOL.......

PLANS to develop Liverpool’s neglected festival gardens were today approved by the government.

The controversial £250m scheme will see almost 1,400 homes built on the Otterspool site and 67 acres of overgrown gardens brought back to their former glory.

Yes, I noticed that too. It is probably part of the Esplanade project not connected to the Garden Festival development.

The Festival site seems to have a fresh collection of security "keep out" type notices and a small what I assume is a security hut has appeared.

    Not much else happening though.

On the vandalised brick-shelter, was a memorial plaque to someone. I wonder what happened to it. I think the last time I noticed the IGF Funnels, was at the Tall Ships.
