    Default Owl Eyes, Union Station, D.C. (CTG)

    Owl Eyes, Union Station, D.C.

    Beaux Arts design graces
    a doorframe: owl eyes stare
    out as passengers heft

    enormous cases across lake-
    size puddles left by Tropical
    Storm Ida; panhandler thrusts

    out dirty hand for a buck,
    two fingers for a Kool;
    a light if he's lucky.

    Nice one Chris, they do look a lot like owls.

    Well spotted there Chris.
    The artists eye can see things that mere mortals just gaze at in wonderment without really seeing their beauty.

    Don't tell him that. He won't get his head through the door.
