Havent seen this advertised much so hope it's still going ahead (I remember some concerns over the street drinking). The idea of a beer and German food if this Indian summer holds out sounds good to me.
German Festival of the Sea

From: 27 Sep 2006
To: 8 Oct 2006
Time: 10am - 9pm
Liverpool will host the country’s first German Festival of the Sea.
Williamson Square will be turned into a speciality fish market with 25 stall holders from Hamburg. Over the nine-day event they will hold preparation demonstrations, as well as offering the best of their country’s beers and wines to complement the fish on offer.
The festival will have outdoor seating for up to 1,600 people and is expected to attract thousands of shoppers.
The Festival of the Sea is a German tradition which spread across Europe and tours towns and cities across the continent annually.
This is the first time that the event will take place in the UK.
Open 10am to 9pm except on Sunday 10am to 4pm.
