You've captured my brother's birthplace on that last pic Joe. It was No.94 Seel Street in 1951 during a short foray away from the L3 area.

Alma de Cuba resturant and bar, the old St Peter`s church in Seel St. Built in 1788,it was given to the Polish community in 1976 and became Our Lady of Czestochowa but in 1978 it closed it`s doors.
It reopened as a resturant and bar with quite a lot of the old church still intact.

The doorman must sit here in the porch with his book on the old lectern.
It is very dark inside even with a couple of hundred candles lit around.

Great pic's Joe! My grandparents were married there, around 1901!
That's one fancy resturant - I'll put it on my list for our next visit. Nice pics.
Thanks for your comments folks,
I`ve passed there many times never been inside before, I was the only person in there at 2pm till 2 more people came in.
It was the winner of Best Resturant and Bar in 2008,2009,2010. Don`t know what the prices are, I only had a brandy but the staff were very friendly. I was offered a special coffee made in a glass with 4 different coloured portions to sample but I had to decline as I don`t like coffee .
The building is steeped in history see
