    Arriva's lowest fare today is £1.40, but I don't care - I've got a travel pass now!

Ah but that include trams ?

I didn't know you were asking about trams.
You said you used to get the 10C, 10D and 10.
If they were on trams, then I assume the same rule applied.

From the 1953 Timetable 10/10c CHURCH ST,
10 Finished at South Castle Street
    10D DALE ST.
    10C /10D at Pier Head

Though a most D routes later went outward via Tithebarn /Chapel st when Dale Street went one way.

When i get some time I'll try and scan some old routemaps if anyone interested

When I was little we used to get the number 10 bus from Queen Victorias monument (is that South castle Street) ? We used to go up to the baths, me an' me mates, on Prescot Road. On the other side off where the Greyhound pub is.
We went their 'cos it had a high diving board and Cornwallis Street and Stebble Street never had one.

Default ROUTE 10 SOUTH CASTLE STREET

Yeah Maria, Queen Vics monument Is South Castle Street.

The 10 26/27 4/5 used to depart from there rather than the Pier Head

    Wink Trams Through Old Swan

There is a short clip of a video on youtube, I placed from a video of trams around Liverpool in the 50's. It focuses on Old Swan as that's where I live.

It has footage from the Pier Head and the suburbs. The Video is available commercialy called "No Trams to Pier Head", if your are a Transport enthusiast, or like me interested in seeing how life was in Liverpool years ago, it's brilliant. The Video in full, includes footage of the Last Tram etc. and lasts for 90 mins, all taken ( on his cine camera ) by a man called Alfred H. Jacob.
