    Default Moel Fammau (CTG)

    Moel Fammau

The way we pronounced it, us Scouse boys
on our cycle trips to wildest Wales:

Mo Vammah! As if it was an action star,
hero of sixpenny movie matinees, instead

    of a slope-shouldered mountain crowned
with a ruined memorial to George III.

Mo Vammah! Kept in our sights as we cycled on.
Mo Vammah! Target for all of our lives to come.

    Christopher T. George

I remember walking to the top of it and back when staying at Colomendy on a school trip.

Did you know Chris that the name of these mountains relates to their similarity in shape to female breasts !! Roughly translated it means Mothers Hill
