    can anyone tell me if there was a list of liverpool stonemasons in the early 19th century?

    wouldn't know about that,but maybe there was a specific union,or organisation, they would have belonged to?

    You'll be very lucky to find anything that early, especially Unions.

    You might try the http://www.namm.org.uk/ - although specifically Memorial Masons you may find they have knowledge of other types of masoncraft.

    You say early 19th Century... could you be more precise and i'll check some directories.
