I've read every book going on John Lennon, but found Julia Baird's story 'Imagine This' really interesting and a different perspective.I couldn't put it down and may read it through again !

Maybe on a nice summer day I'll have a walk through the path from Springwood to Menlove - just to see. Had a quick look around there the other day while passing. Also, to have a look around Vale rd area.

Strawberry Field on Beaconsfield Road is not far too, nor Quarrybank school. In fact, into Woolton Village and you've got St. Peters church and the hall where they met at the garden fete in 1957.

Yeah, I've been there a few times.
I've been to Allerton Tower park quite a few times in the past, but havn't seen the foot paths crossing alongside to Menlove.

Julia Baird, talking about New Heys Grammar school, mentions the entrance having Tweedledee & Tweedledum. I was wondering what the significance was to the school ? Anyone know ? or have any photos ?

New Heys school is on the school page of my site. John didn't go there, did Julia?

This Quarry was where the sandstone came from to build the Anglican Cathedral. A housing estate now stands in the hollow that was made off Quarry Street.

I first trod on this public footpath back in 1978 after seeing it as part of the first ever Magical History Tour as it was then called which was part of the 2nd ever Beatles Convention (held in Mr Pickwicks as was the first a year earlier) The mesh wasn't up then, nor the climbing plants so high but you still get a good view from the top over the Woolton rooftops. You can see the footpath behind the houses on the 3rd pic.
