i am trying to research my family tree but cant even get started as the names and addresses seem not exist.
please can someone confirm or point me in the right direction where can find forge place around 1930. it was off mill street, opposite kings gardens. between warwick street and hill street. the back ran on to prince william street.
what would be brilliant is if someone actually lived in the area and can share some info...
thanks in advance for any snippets of infor that can help, even to the smallest degree
I presume you done some reasearch by going to "William Brown Street" Libary, fourth floor LRO(Liverpool Records Office) as you will glean this "Forge Place" from there.
What does suprise(me and I'm not expert on looking up the family tree) vut if you cannot locate the name of both your parents either their marital names or the name of your mothers maiden name? then you cannot even begin to locate their former address? again it would be a start to ask for help in the LRO for these names and make sure you spell the names exactly as they would be on Birth/Death certificates, its is sometimes common and does happen for Registrars to get at least one letter wrong or the whole name wrong for that matter which could throw the scent off by miles.
I'm not saying this might be your case vut every minute detail has got to be spot on and becomes a bit harder when things arise like"illigitimit children" ect, ect.
Good luck and stay tuned as probably other members here will give sound advice and keep
