The original of this and its companion, the Architect, are going in the People's City gallery in the new Pier Head museum. They were in the Museum of Liverpool life at Mann Island in the past.

    Default Old & New

Here's a "monument" in Everton Cemetary where the inscription depicts buriels that where disturbed during the refurbishment of St Nicks church.

And here is one of Liverpool's newest memorial plaques in honour of Dom Volante.

    Bring on the fury...

In my last job ( before redundancy) we had chinese visitors (they took our jobs) and i was asked to take them sightseeing too liverpool, well not asked given a nice bonus to take them lmfao..
so imagine how difficult it was to keep a straight face as they took pictures, and had pictures taken of themselves with this statue, running about shouting elvis ... yeah i had to walk away for a min as they took pics lmao

    i never corrected them

spotted these on way to hosp last week. I couldn't get a proper pic as this part of the cathedral is closed off.

right, got there in the end.
people with more advanced cameras should be able to get better pics as the statues are in quite a dull part of the station. Only found out about these as someone had left an Echo in the clinic when me and hubby went this afternoon.

they are by platforms 7 and 8

When they were working on that bit of the Pier Head,I got talking to one of the security guards, who said that this piece of art ("Mersey Wave" by Arthur Dooley ???? but, I might be dead wrong here!) was dumped in a skip, till one of his mates pointed out it's origin/purpose! I'm sure this was previously positioned, somewhere by the Atlantic tower hotel.
