Mr Mancuso, a "retired young man of 76", wholives in Calderstones, said: "I was born in Sicily but came here when I was 21 as I had ambitions I couldn't fulfil in Sicily.
"I spent 50 years in the ice cream business but I'm retired now and to keep my brain occupied I decided to be active in the social side with the Italian and particularly Sicilian community around the whole of England."
