You reckon this is one for us Garston wallahs to keep an eye on, Kev? Seems too good to be true.

I'm not sure what to think until I see plans. The job creation can only be a good thing. 75 is quite a lot.

Of course, that's an issue. I wouldn't like any smells wafting over our house. Did you remember the nut smells from a few years ago?

I can't say I remember the nut smells, but I shall keep an aye on this all the same.

I'm living in Canada now and if the recycling plant is anything like the one near us you wont have to worry. It mainly recycles glass, paper and plastics . Theres no smells to speak of.

Default Who do you think you are

For those who didn't see tonight's BBC TV programme on genealogy, it was about the actor Griff Rhys Jones' ancestry. It seems he has Garston roots with his maternal side of the family ( Price) living on Window Lane and Vineyard St.

Those in the UK can download the programme from the BBC TV web site

Noticed that, Taffy. Vineyard Street got a good little look in. Griff's history was a little sad, but interesting.

    Default Garston Revisited Book

Were you there? The Garston Historical Society succesfully launched in Garston their new collection of Garston archive photos published as " Garston Revisited" at the Reading Rooms, Wellington Rd Garston today ( Sept 29th).

For those who don't know it, the reading room was built in the mid 19th C as a community facility for local Garston people. After falling into disrepair in the late 20th C, it was succesfully revived as a community facility by the Garston and District Community Council
