If you were brought up in Crosby do you qualify as a Scouser

Oh as I was young and easy in the mercy of his means,

I think from the 'Liverpoolians' thread we've basically established that there is no set critera for being 'a scouser'.

I suppose the question is then... do you consider yourself a scouser?

    Default Scouser

I consider myself to be a scouse and working class. I have heard from certain quarters that Lennon wasn't working class. Perhaps because he was more class conscious than some

    Lennon wasn't working class.
Working class has nothing to do with being scouser...middle class, upper class are still scousers if they were born and raised in Liverpool.

Working class is a different ball game...bladdy hell footie again..tsk!

Lennon wrote "Working Class Hero" but he was brought up in a solidly middle class environment at "Mendips" on Menlove Avenue by his Uncle George and Aunt Mimi. Didn't his uncle own a dairy? Also attending Quarry Bank High School he mixed with other middle class boys.

Lennon is also on record on a U.S. chat show saying he was middle class. I'm not sure Working Class hero is meant to be totally autobiographical.
