Lindy, the style of architecture with those classical pilasters, akin to flat columns, would indicate that the building is probably Georgian, probably built circa 1810 or so I should think. While I have not been able to find out the exact age of the house, I understand it once belonged to the family of Frank Hornby, the inventor of Meccano, and that it was from this house that Mr. Hornby was taken to hospital where he died.
