I missed the beginning of this thread, so missed this photo.
I took the same pic myself and was going to use it as a "Quiz" for "Old Liverpool", but seeing as nobody got the GPO in Victoria Street, I changed my mind.
This gargoyle (yes, I know it's not strictly a gargoyle) is one of about 5 on one of the buildings in Victoria Street.
I took this one just after Christmas...Jerome Buildings. There are more of these creatures next door (Carlisle buildings).
This is an interesting building. It seems to have been converted from early 19th C terraced housing. The row was adapted at some point into a clothing factory. Given the long Jewish associations with this area, I suspect this business was Jewish owned.

I took some myself whilst walking around the London Rd Area.
Where did you say I might see neolithic (is that right?) footprints of teenagers and deer? Near Otter's Pool Park? How really neat.
NO! It's Freshfield, not Freshfields! Whoever made the sign on the bypass roundabout should be shot! A classic example of IASS* if ever there was one.
*IASS - Involuntary Additional 'S' Syndrome. Adding an 's' to words that 'don't feel right to say' without it. Examples exclude 'Tescos', 'anyways' and 'you's'.
Can't imagine why these ended up at Otterspool !!
When I lived at Coxhead Farm during WW2 there were thing like that under the railway bridge, they were supposed to be dragged across the lane in the event of enemy troops invading.
You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else.
