Did you know that from April, the government has removed the rates exemption on empty industrial property! This means that landlords are liable for the full business rates, upon vacation.
This has started an orgy of demolition, to avoid liabilities.
We must record what we can, before even more tracts of the city are laid waste.
Demolition contractors are reported as never having been so busy!
You take them for granted - until one day they're gone!

Quincy you can have these pics if you want (save you a journey) - but they are not particularly marvellous ones.

    WTF is this all about?!
spotted these over a door on Prenton Park Rd when I came out of Tranmere Rovers ground after bagging the SLB.

    SPOOKY!

looking again at the way she's dressed I'm wondering if it was a Quakers meeting place or summat to do with religion? that could be a Bible on her knee.

then again it could be Mrs Beeton with her cookbook!

Walked past this many a time...and never even noticed! Puts my ramblings round Tranmere to shame!

No trip to Tranmere is complete without a walk down Derby Road in my opinion!

Nice photos Gregs dad. Just imagaine if these buildings had been built at Port Sunlight. They would still be in superb condition. Sad to see them in this state.
