Yes shame the weather wasn't kinder but the company more than made up for it.Btw Kev i missed that model car in the tunnels glad you captured it where on earth was it?.
Well i really left Liverpool knowing more about the place than when i arrived which pleases me.Makes you wonder whether Mr Williamson realised at the time what he & his workers really achieved.I just hope it gets the recognition it deserves as there are a lot of voluntary groups all worthy i'm sure but this is history being uncovered (if you'll excuse the pun). All in all it made for a brilliant day, thanks all.

Glad u could make it Terry . The bike was identified by Paul D who showed me where it was. It was suspended above the displays in the section we visited just before we got our hard hats on.

Brilliant video of the ferry, I see lots of buildings going up, very impressive.

And Maxie, get that sprig of hair cut from the back of your head love

Williamson achieved employment for people that is all. That aside, he achieved nothing at all as they were useless, pointless tunnels. When they were digging through the Lime St rail cuttings, the navvies could hear noises on the other side of the rock faces, and at one point they broke through and the men were amazed that other men were cutting tunnels near them for no apparent reason.

Cuckoo he was. He could have build a water reservoir or superior sanitation like sewers or something that would have benefited the people at the time.
