    So that's what's in the Oratory? I've always wondered...

    That library looks good - I remember seeing your photos before of the documents and things. Amazing what gets left behind in some places. Companies fold and go into receivership and all the archives and paperwork gets left.

    I was in there again recently to "liberate" any remaining docs. They've all gone. Hopefully taken by the council who have been informed on numerous occasions by myself to rescue them.

    Nice... I do hope they've been saved. When I went to the Coalite plant in Bolsover last month there were minutes books and share certificates going back over a 100 years - virtually the entire archives. Thing is, nobody wants to know, and half the time it just gets shovelled into a skip and burnt.

    Glad you got that place photographed though, that stuff looks priceless...

    Snappel, you have to return back to the Coalite Plant and "liberate" the minute books and share certificates. You have to!

    I'd need a transit van! I've saved a few bits, as have a couple of other people I know, but I've been talking to someone from the local record office about saving it.
