Apologies for the durge in updates!
Lovely photies Walla' .. Can you get a few of Perch Rock next time your up there ? I loved that fort
Or if you get into Seacombe.. a couple of shots of St Joeys on Wheatland lane
Well, I am a pernament resident now so I can get any shots of Wallasey (and possibly Birkenhead) you desire! It's always nice to get out the house and go walkies so I will be more than happy to go to New Brighton and down to Seacombe. I can do New Brighton tomorrow and I will aim to get round to Seacombe soon!
Many thanks to everyone for your comments on my images, I still have more to share from when I was walking to and from Egremont Prom!
EDIT!!!
Just a moment! I took a few in October 04 when the sun was about to set on a calm autumn evening...
Don't worry! I will get down there and will get a few shots!

This is for FKoE and John Lemmon...
Wheatland Lane round by Shakespear Road
St Josephs on Wheatland Lane
St Josephs Church. Quite a prominant building round here and is likely to have been built by the Goodwyn Family who first urbanised the area around Wheatland and St Pauls Roads when they set up the Seacombe Potteries.
Borough Road, Egremont. What a contrast! Victorian Suburbia with the backdrop of the Liver Buildings!
Close up of the Liver Buildings and Borough Road. Shame about the roadworks!
Faulkner Road, Egremont.
I will be uploading more of these on Liverpool Suburbia amongst the other images from previous posts...
Hope you all liked this small selection. I have to say that my favourite is the close up of the Liver Buildings and Borough Road as it is such a contrast with a such a famous building being seen from a less glamourous setting (No offence FKoE!)

They're boss them photies Walla
I'm shocked seeing St Joeys with the winders bricked up, and equally shocked seeing down borough rd...
Yer a diamond mate
Thanks FKoE!
Here are a few more...
Corner of Poulton and Borough Roads.
Church on the corner of Brougham Road and Liscard Road. Before the Church was built, a house stood on the site and was named Brougham House.
Wallasey Town Hall towers above the neat (or potentially neat) terraces of Egremont and Seacombe. Wallasey Town Hall has always been in this part of the town and before WW1, the town hall was on Church Street. however, this recived a direct hit from a bomb and was completely destroyed.
Why do people have to cover up the possibly most ornate part of the house with grotty pebbledash? Look at the detailing above the door! These houses would look great if they were all in a "uniform" style. May sound a bit boaring but at least the street will look a-lot nicer to live in!
Hope this trip down Memory Lane for some is well appreciated

Here are a few more...
A couple of hundred yards and your on the park there Walla
div>
When we was kids.. they had a circus there every summer, big top the werks
Where's the park? If you mean behind me then I am afraid that it has been built on. There was a pub there but now it has been pulled down and awaits development for something else.
I say waiting; there were a few diggers and a man with his feoddalite on site when I walked past....

I was talking about Central Park .... but I think your thinking of this little park ...
And its been/being built on !!?
They always say you can't go back, maybe they were right..
Apologies! It hasn't been built on! But Liscard Hall is derelict!
Apart from that, the park has actually been renovated! The pond has more or less been restored even though some of the local yobs have been known to treat it as a loo in daylight!
Personally, the Breck is marginally nicer. It would be better if Wirral Council would trim the trees down so that we all have a view! Failing that, theres always St Hillaries or Vale Park (the latter is very nice!)
