The security guard in the porter cabin around the front must be hoping they drag on and on, it's the most secure job in Britain at the mo.

Lets hope they are saved, enough history has been taken away.

I believe ( im not sure, but certain Ged will know ) that there is a plan at the moment to save them?

Yes, I think the bloke who was originally doing them up is still struggling, ScouserDave used to keep us informed as he knows him. There is a showflat finished and the idea was to build houses in gregs dad's old footy pitch fronting them but I think this idea has fallen by the wayside.

GR (George V) postbox residing in Paradise Street. As far as I'm aware this style is quite rare these days.

I know this is a response to a message posted two years ago but hope it is of interest.

The now defunct Toxteth.net revealed that the small tunnel in Otterspool Park was a water conduit used when part of the valley in which park lies was dammed to create an ornamental lake.

I was in error when I quoted the defunct Toxteth.net as having information on the Otterspool Tunnel.

The full details of the tunnel and the dam can be found at Mike Royden's Local History site:

    Default scary places

I agree, the greendoor is great and dont know about you but I tend to think about when we was kids, there always seemed to be places that gave us the willies, scared stiff with some of them, the worst one for me was Fulwood Park, going passed the little sandstone cottage, think what made it creepy was the big houses never had curtains, you never saw anyone,no doors were ever open, god, was anyone ever there?another place was the pyramid and the worst of all was Rodney Street at night, does anyone else have places that scared you.
