Just bought another copy of 'Nine Tonight' from Amazon for £7 - last one was stoled a few years ago. Playing it constantly in my car.

Nobody has mentioned the Knightsbridge in Duke St.

My favourite haunt was the Cavern, where I met my wife, and then Ugly's.

How many can remember Ugly's full name when it opened?

Oh, forgot to mention that the night usually started in O'Connors.

Hi Savo, when did you frequent O'C's, I was a regular from about 69-72. There were a lot of characters in that place, and I knew quite a few of them.

    Ged,
Neil and Tim Finn live here in Auckland and in fact Neil's son is also a great musician. They have just been playing concerts down at the waterfront while the Rugby World Cup was on. The song, Always Take the Weather With You is a real favourite here in New Zealand.
If you go onto the Real Groovy website they will have plenty of Split Endz/ Crowded House music secondhand
at www.realgroovy.co.nz They specialise in vinyl but have millions of CDs and you can put stuff on a wish list and see if its traded in. Let me know if you want me to pick anything up and mail it out to you-

Was a regular at O'C's a bit later, 71,till it's demise,a few years later! I eventually got hold of a copy of the Liverpool Scene album,"Amazing Adventures of..." who's cover has a picture of the band, and various regulars, standing at the entrance, and got it framed! Happy days!

I don't think I ever went to the Knighstbridge.

I didn't know Uglys had a longer name. I'll wait and see if anyone guesses - but don't forget to let us know the answer if no one replies
