Good Afternoon,
I am doing some research for The Times Magazine which is running a feature to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Thatcher winning her first general election on May 3rd, 1979.

We are looking for people born on this date, as we want to interview them about their lives, their backgrounds, their family, their jobs, their community and their ambitions. In doing this, we hope to build-up a portrait of how different people?s lives may (or may not) have been shaped by Thatcher?s political and social legacies.

It?s important to stress that this is a politically neutral piece: we are not looking for interviewees to say good or bad things about Thatcher, but rather, just tell us about their lives. However, so far, the majority of willing interviewees we have are based in the south of Britain, and there would be a gaping hole in any feature about this that did not have voices from the north. As such, any assistance you can give, or suggestion you can make as to the best means of finding someone who fits the bill, and would be happy to chat, would be hugely appreciated. We are running on a very tight deadline, so please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or queries you may have.

Best,
Nicole Green
