Lighthouse could do with a lick of paint, spent many a day down in Hale and at the Lighthouse, a great view is from either Frodsham hill or Runcorn Hill on a clear day you could see across the river to the lighthouse and in the distance Liverpool skyline. I might get up there take some pictures and show you soon.

"It still looks 'Great' to me"!! Many years ago I drove a delivery van for Irwins', (bottom of Garston Village) and the couple who lived in the cottage at the base of the lighthouse were one of of my customers, can't remember their name now but a very nice couple, always had a cup of tea for me and I must admit I enjoyed the trip out to, and around, Hale. quite a few of the people in Hale were Irwins customers! Love all those pics you and others submit to this site, Thanks!! NormGOriginally Posted by Kev

Rodney Street:
Georgian Architecture at its best. Unique doorways. Rodney Street is Liverpool's Harley Street with Drs and Architects in residence. Check out the full set of Rodney Street door pictures here.
My dentist is at Rodney Street.
Nice to sit by the Anglican by there too.

I love going to Everton Ridge when I am over on the Liverpool side of the water. Words cant describe what I feel when stood ontop of that hill. You feel as if you're ontop of the world; especially as you seem to look down at the Pier Head and the Wirral!
On the Wirral side, I like to go to Vale Park in New Brighton. It is another place where I could spend an eternity just sitting and standing there whilst looking over to the city.
We have so many places in and around the city that provide such "tranquilty". I mean, it's not everwhere where you can decide to jump on a merseyrail trian and go off to New Brighton or Formby is it? It's not everywhere where you can sit on the No60 and look over to the world famous skyline in one direction and then look over to North Wales in another direction is it?
Oh, how lucky we are!
