    Lightbulb Merseyside's Hidden Charms

Right here we go,here's a selection of pictures from the beautiful Formby Point at sunset,I often go there and have a few drinks a stare out to sea and reflect about life,we are lucky enough to have this amazing landscape on our doorsteps and sometimes it seems like you have it all to yourself which is part of the charm of the place,I make regular trips there so you will see more of this place later in the year.

Paul, it is reported today that there has been an oil spillage there, (see Oil spillage sparks beach clean).

I know it's bad isn't it, I've just replied to the other thread,I wonder if the tanker on that picture is the culprit?

I think it said the spill was from an oil rig.

Here's a couple more pictures to cheer myself up,I'm sure it's only a minor incident but these are the perils of having oil tankers going up and down our coast I'm afraid.

Like the new Banks Road Primary School (http://s33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...t=9c4122b5.jpg) - the new Kensington Primary School looks like a cross between a factory unit and a remand wing.

Lady Lever Art Gallery - Not Liverpool but a hidden gem:

    Port Sunlight

    Along the prom:

I knew I'd taken a similar pic Paul. The view onto Grassendale Park Prom, a lovely place. Would recommend a drive down.

Thanks Kev,I think the thread should include all things Merseyside and the little bits of Cheshire that are ours anyway,it could be anything from a special place like I posted of Formby Point to your favourite buildings or events even, just use your imaginations and get posting.

Going to Port Sunlight is like being transpoted back in time it's an unbelievable place.

Here's one a bit closer to home our very own Cleopatra's Needle in Sefton Park and another view of the park.

and here's the picture of Grassendale I took that Kev spoke of,those old homes are really classy and I envy the owners of them.

The city looks beautiful from at the top of the Anglican Cathedral and it's a view of the city most of us never see,you can see it yourselves for less than £5 if anyone's interested.
