Default No More Red Meat by Alfred Venison (CTG)

    No More Red Meat
(From the new poems of Alfred Venison)

Friend, no more Grass-fed Bison Filet Mignon
and, Bro, hold that Rasta Beef Jerky, mon!

No more Steak Tartare--bid it "ta ta"
--'twill plunge your life chances far.

No more London Broil (rather boil in oil!)
no Boneless Strip Steaks, for life's sake!

Friend, enjoy your saki, whisky, and gin
while you can. Time for you to begin

to savor a Wild Mushroom Salad with Thyme
and Heart of Romaine with wedge of lime,

heap of Artichoke Hummus, Asparagus Couscous,
Albacore Tuna with Arugula. No Excuse!

How ironic to have a man called Venison speak of no more red meat.
