Default Charabanc outing to Blackpool 1920's

Found this old photo of my grandad on an outing to Blackpool. Think it's the 1920's from the age of his son. He's at the back with his arm out of the window. How much would 5/- in 1920's be worth today?

    Default Charabanc outing

Nice one, John! Just to give you an idea about your 5/- query - the
rent of our house in Hogarth Road at that time was 9/- a week! I remember
it well because I used to often give it to the rent collector when he called
every week, and sometime give him an excuse for a non or part payment. They
were grisly times in those days - I only realised later just how grisly they were. Stan H.

Wonderful picture there John. Your 1925 five shillings would be worth about ?10.60 today.

    Good pic that John
There's a pic very similar in Debz's Liverpool Italian Families book.
