I had a look for Torr St from above and Albion st way but nothing. A lot of the south end over the Anglican and funnily enough, Gerard Gardens being built which I got years ago during my books research. Not a lot over L5 way.

Another 121 photos retrieved from the LRO archives yesterday, never before seen in books or on websites. A lot of these are for ex-pats and forum users who otherwise would never see again their old haunts, houses or playgrounds. Please use the scroll bar.

Is this you at the foot of Entwistle Heights in the summer of 1970:

Myrtle Street in 1968 with Myrtle Gardens undergoing some TLC. Taken from Melville Place, is this YOU on the way to the pub?

I went to St Anne's, Overbury Street and remember Entwistle Heights well. It's only after being part of Yo that I now know the name of the heights. A few of my friends lived there, and I did visit - and was well impressed by the flats - given I only lived in a beautiful Georgian house!

Ged, if I'm not mistaken the 3 storey block in front of Entwistle heights is Milner House.

Use the scroll bar George as i've mentioned.

Yes, there was a block called Milner House Lindy, but that was another block, see the high rise page on my site.

I have other pics of Entwistle including the foundations going in by Truscon Ltd (of prefab concrete panels fame) on 1.10.62

Also a pic of it sheeted, pre demolition.

Just to say a massive THANK YOU to the legions who have visited my site taking it's hits to now over the THREE MILLION mark.

I expect there are a number of reasons, not least a google search when looking Liverpool city related information will sometimes bring up a link plus I have left contact details at my model in the museum whose attendance rate itself is looking ever healthy. Also I notice that genealogy sites are recommending my site to those looking to bolster their family tree information with photographs of 'the way it was' which has also increased the number of people contacting me for information and photographs.

All in all, a big well done to everyone, THANKS again.

Ha ha thanks Lizzie. I'm in the throes of another 'little' venture at the moment and i'll let you all know when it's about to go live but it'll be a few months yet.
