Pics please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The riverside promenade, created out of what was the city’s biggest refuse tip, is now home to a children’s play area, a gym challenge course and an impressive Sitting Bull sculpture which was rescued from the former International Garden Festival site.
Hi Kev & Max

I went to see St Georges Hall today, which is amazing, but I was amazed to read on one of the information boards that the old hospital in newsham park was originally built as judges lodges in the mid 1800s, and during its last days of use Queen Victoria actually stayed there!
Spent the day at Otterspool. The kids play park is now open and the kids are enjoying it.
The day was spoilt by needing a toilet for the Lady. Not one to be found. It seems to be a city-wide problem:-
Sefton Park = None that I can find
Newsham Park = again, none that I can find.
Otterspool Prom = ? need I go on
Stanley Park ???
and what about all the other parks ??
We now have to plan our days out on toilet locations.
Leaves me wondering what the millions of visitors will do in 2008 if they visit a park in the city. (Incopads and Percy Payne bags on sale here)

In the days when we had nothing we had fun.
If tomorrow starts without me, remember I was here.
Well said! I've got a mate who is diabetic and is on lots of tablets. When he has to take a leek, he has to take a leek and usually it can be by the nearest pub. However, if you are taken short in a public area and the police caught you watering the bushes, could you take the City Council to court to say that x amount of Facilities in Liverpool are locked up and therefore you had no-where to go. It would be interesting to see if there has ever been a legislation of every district in Liverpool having to have their own public toilets - Wavertree - locked up, Childwall - demolished, behind St George's hall - locked up......
I'm going to play on the swings In otterspool then one night.
Sometimes I pay on the ones on Ullet Road by the Tower Blocks.
I fell off one once and landed head first and didn't feel a thing!
Gididi Gididi Goo.
I'd be amazed to read that, too, because it's wrong.
They're two different buildings, at either side of the park.
Park Hospital was the Seamen's Orphanage which opened in 1864.
Queen Victoria stayed at the Judge's Lodgings in 1886 when she visited The International Exhibition of Navigation, Commerce and Manufacturers. The house had been built in the late 18th century as Newsham House.
