    Default Lissant Street, West Derby

Hi all, I've been researching my family tree and have just used the 1911 Census looking for my Father.

I've found him and his 10 siblings living in Lissant Street, does anyone know where it was?

    TIA

Hi again, I lived at number 36, the houses were 2 up 2 down terraced ,outside toilet, outside sink, hot water had to be boiled on large range in living room, bath was a large tin one.I remember when plastic buckets came out my father filled it with water and put it on the range to boil. as you can guess it melted and put the range out.

My father's mother lived at No 9 Lissant Street in 1936 when my father joined the territorial Army. 3 years later he left to join the regulars just before war broke out.

I was wondering if any of your family would remember a Harriet Ralph who had a son call Joseph? If so are you able to tell me anything about them? Thanks for your time.

When I lived in Lissant Street, half the houses were missing, I presume due to bomb damage.Don't remember any of your relatives. sorry.
