Great shots. 2 of them are going to be very useful to me as an artist and painting many aspects if Liverpool including the prom. The shot looking down past cressington and grassendale parks to Garston with the docks will be used. The shot with the anglers is amazing....Its 40 yrs since I lived in Aigburth and the only fish in the river then were 'Mersey goldfish' !! so encouraging to see it so clean now.

    will be used
Would it be nice to ask permission first, I hate it when people think just because someone puts an image on a web site it's a free for all

The river has always had fish in it I`ve been fishing it for 60 years now,the only difference now is there are a few more varieties such as rays.I`ve caught cod, whiting, sole ,rocklings, dabs, eels.dogfish.

    Default apologies

Im so sorry Kev as someone suggested I should have asked if you wouldnt mind me extracting some of the prom features for my painting....hope its ok. When Ive done a few paintings I will post up for all to see. Its only certain details I need to know such as the docks at Garston and features across the river which will be used with some artistic license. It saves me a 150 mile drive so much appreciated. Default Garston remembered

There was a field just by where you took those photo's we called it jacks and as lads we had some laughs there. It is built up now and is the signature for the end of the prom . I love that photo Kev

When are they going to start work on the old Pleasure Island dome area?

Last time I snuck In there for the Oriental gardens, It twas full of chavs throwing barrels Into the lake and this Is supposed to have security! It's just one guy showing up In his car for a little while then he gets off.

At a meeting last night, of the Friends of Otterspool, Nigel Sharp, the Parks Development Officer of the Council, reported that a number of exercise machines had been installed in Otterspool Park. They are on the south side of the Children's Play Area. So now you can give up those expensive gym membership fees and exercise looking over the Mersey. Tell all your pals. Use it, or lose it! They look more like kids toys to me. I'll have to investigate.
