Default HMS Illustrious from Crosby beach

Hosp visiting this afternoon , decorating tomoz so won't get chance to see her in town. glad I took gloves this time, it was freezing. not many there to watch her sail by. Tide was further in too so I couldn't get as close as I did to QE2 the other week. Just got back up to road before rain started too, excellent timing!

    Quincy,
Excellent yet again. But why do you always manage to get a man's bare bum in your photos?

Great shots of her arriving Quincy. I've just come in from a photo job near the Pier Head and popped to have a look at 11pm and take a few photo's. I was surprised how many people, even with children, were down there having a look. I'm too tired to put a photo on now so will tomorrow, its been a long day. Good night everyone, sleep well.

Quincy, hope you don't mind me bunking on your thread with some HMS Illustrious photo's. As I said last night, I quickly snapped them around 11pm on the way home from a job near the Pier Head, so apologies they are a bit dull. However, its a lovely day now and I'm sure lots of you will be down there snapping away some brighter photo's to post. I couldn't believe how big the carrier looks compared to HMS Manchester that was in a few weeks ago, its definately worth going to see.
