What like Karen Millen and Costa Coffee to name but two local "independents"

Always ?? ... I've never heard it called that in my life until this week
..and we've always been at war with Eastasia. Those new car park signs which appeared a couple of months ago confuse me too...hmmm, do I want to park in Cultural, or Commercial, or Shopping?

I don't know why there is a trend to 'zone' things like this, personally I'd rather live in a city where banks and galleries and shops and bars can all exist on the same block
