I remember Steble street although we tended to use Garston baths and later Speke. I would look after the washing for the women, and have a cup of tea toast and a woodbine. I dont ever remember getting locked up there. I did get a visit from them once someone suggested I was behind something. It was derelict for some time. We lived in Dingle mount then.

No mention of Norris Green Baths...or Noggsy Green as we used to call it?

I lived in Kirkby, and before we had our own baths we used to travel in to Norris Green to use those baths there.

I remember it being very large, with about 3 different pools, and it had a very high ceiling, with lots of small cubicles built around the pool for changing.

Anyone got any pics by any chance?

Scouse, I put Balliol road baths and Crosby baths on the Bootle and Crosby threads respectively - try the search facility on this site and they should come up.

The baths in Walton was just by Walton Church, close to Alsop School, its just been revamped into something else. The old baths was also used as a dancehall, The baths was covered over with a false floor!

Its on the corner by the flyover.

Sorry, I guess I was being lazy .

It was years before I realised that only the front was left of balliol rd baths. Always thought it would have made a brilliant private gym after it closed down
