    Thanks PhilipG, LL and Klaatu.
You're right Philip it was a tricky one to shoot with either poor light or brilliant flashes. I climbed up on a wall to get over peoples heads. Noticed Phil Redmond opposite me had his own fenced off corner by St Georges Hall to watch the proceedings. I really enjoyed it, but thought that Saturday was breathtaking, because La Princess stepped over me in Lord Street. (LL sorry, it'll be over soon)

When I first seen them my imagination ran riot and I was waiting to see them turn around like some musical periscope from the yellow submarine below the concrete.

Those pillars remind me of our wedding cake. It looks good enough to eat.

    Thanks, folks.
I took the photo to contrast with this,
taken earlier the same day (Sunday).

And thought of all the historic occasions St George's Hall has been part of.

Thanks for the comments, Norm too.

Here's a web site with lots of old photos, including the transporter bridge, of the once industrially important West bank area of Widnes.

Catch up time to fill in the missing few weeks. This one's the old Liverpool Maternity Hospital. It now bears a plaque saying John Lennon was born here I'm sure many others were too !!
