    Default Cornwallis Street Public Baths

    'Ted Heaton' was the manager of Cornwallis Street Public Baths; he was an English Channel swimmer; a high diving showman; lost his position as manager following a the drowning of a boy at the baths. His wife later committed suicide due to the shame and scandel that followed afterwards. All quoted from Pat O'Mara's book, The Life of a Liverpool Irish Slummy, pub 1933.
