So many pictures don't get commented on.

If I could I'd propose a thread just for your work PhilipG. It's worth logging on each day to see the world through your lense.

    Keep up the great work.

    Good photo, Ged.
It's a better example of 'Facadism' than some.
Like Mount Pleasant or Cleveland Square.

The Planning Committee wanted the facade of the Bedford cinema to be retained.
    However..................

That's one of the nicest pics I've seen of that view. It looks like one of those ads in an estate agents mag.

We walked down some very old stone steps. I think they were referred to as the "Monks steps" or something. The steps led us down to the river side by the Dingle.

Gerry, a lovely picture, but, as it's POTD, can't we see a bigger version?

September in a couple of hours, folks.

They made a pond of the outline of one of the graving docks at Herculaneum. They only thing that ever indicates there was once a large dock there. It looked like this in 1907. You can see a ship in the graving dock that is on the new picture that Gerry took.

becomes a Venice without canals, just another city, no
longer of special interest to anyone, least of all the
