marky.that's very good. How long has it been there?Who did it ?
^ I don't know who did the sculpture. The tree was cut down about 4 years ago, I think. It used to be surrounded by its' own railings, all on its' own.
Great pics all, I wasn't able to able to attend due to illness and baby sitting duties.
Good picture. I have passed that building so many times and yet I have never noticed the Liver bird. It's quite prominent too

Deprived of its unique dockland waters Liverpool
becomes a Venice without canals, just another city, no
longer of special interest to anyone, least of all the
tourist. Would we visit a modernised Venice of filled in
canals to view its modern museum describing
how it once was?

aah .. I didn't look at POD until just now - I see it was tucked away behind Waterway's post perhaps it was missed.
It's a very nice picture Gerry thanks for posting.
I'm coming back to Liverpool next weekend and I hope to get some more pictures for my collection.
You'll have to watch the clock to sneak in with them on POD
.. yet there have been some days when we have none at all being posted and we have to scatch around for some. It's the luck of the draw sometimes.
But the quality of the great pictures is worth being beaten to the post for me.
this French firefighter was one of those giving it his all at St Georges Plateau yesterday afternoon
firefighters do a fantastic job as do all the emergency services, so bless em all.
