Was anyone there at 10 when the veil was lowered by Lord Hulme and Warren Bradley??
The speeches were interesting, I was able to video them both...it may be of some use one day!
Interestingly, I watched Granada and NWT. I found that Granada was very much positive about the whole affair, but NWT was able to put a downer on things, they were far more pessimistic.
Anyway, heres a few I took around 10...
The stage is set...now all we need is the great and the good...and a crowd!
The plunger with a random bloke stood behind it. This wasn't the moment of opening by the way, it had just been placed on the stage.
The media have turned up...10 points for those who can spot Granada's Andy Bonner!
A few dancers appeared in the run up to the opening
(Left to Right) Lord Hume, Joanne Jennings (thats the small bits of green behind....), ...Grosvenor Presenter, Rod Holme (Grosvenor Rep), Cllr Warren Bradley, Lord Mayoress and Lord Mayor of Liverpool.
A close up view of Warren Bradley and Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Liverpool
After the opening, crowds make their way into the development...you can see the eagerness in some peoples faces.
A general view of the mall with John Lewis in the background.

Apologies for the durge in updates!
Cheers Russ. I'd originally planned to be there for 10am, but wasn't too grand this morn. so thanks for posting those up.
at least the weather stayed dry. everyone I saw in there was smiling or looking awestruck. I can't remember anything opening in the city in my lifetime that's had the buzz this has.
