just to add, if the rubble is were the red arrow is, itll be the remains of the old line, demolished in the 70s

I had an idea many years ago for the re opening of the ex cheshire lines, although i have seen several proposals over the years, ive never seen this particular idea, with a branch near hartleys hill...
dont get me wrong, im pro rail, and a massive railway enthusiast and would love to see the tunnels used. but have learned to think how the people who would spend the money would think.

there was never a station there, it must be stuff of legend,
and any opening does act like a ventilation shaft, like the ex cheshire lines tunnels between walton...
