There is a book about the case although its name escapes me. Very complicated case indeed. The murder occured down south somewhere.
Indeed my old Dad worked there. It was a fireless loco. I have a distant dim memory from the 70's of a few mineral wagons standing on the exchange siding just outside Aintree station.
