Pierhead, how I remembered it as a sagging off school nipper. :)
they were great Greg pity you couldn't click to enlarge it cos the buses in the foreground of the picture both don't look like LCPT
Click on the pic with right mouse button and open link in new window, this will give it full sized.
Put them lights out-its air raid time....
forgot about these.....going a bit potty here. :)
Lord St area...like the two night scenes.
That church street 1951 at night one,not a soul insight....no clubs letting out thats why :)

Church Street Area.....
And again....
Yes George there are about 5 or 6 actually but mainly because there are some I wasn't particularly interested in and I still haven't saved them, neither the ones that have been published in books. There isn't a word I haven't typed into that text search box. Gardens, tenements, tower, drive, street, road, lane, park, railings, shops, river etc etc - for instance, like i've said before there are loads of pics of buses being built at Edge Lane but I haven't savced any of them. I say keep them coming though because there'll still be plenty of people wanting to see them. Mart also posted about 300 up on another forum - with accompanying text.
Ok.
Enjoyed looking at all the photo's you've posted Georgie, Thanks! but 4th pic in post No 63, shows stern of ship and states Princes Landing Stage, dated 1956??? I think this might be a typing error as far as date is concerned, looks more like the early 20s, or perhaps earlier!
I suspected that meself,Norm...but thats what it had on the date,I think as you did 1926 or even 1936 ??Quote:

Can't get any more the site has blocked me from searching? tried using the search words that I have already found photies with and it keeps coming up blank for any words associated with liverpool. :(
These were the last pics I managed....
Must be something wrong George I`m having the same problem
I think its that Fagan fella has had a word with the LRO,Joe...told them to block anyone associated with Yo. :)
I think its probably because you have "Borrowed" their entire ctalogue
Ha ha, I think you're probably right Mart, the system has probably exploded. :013:
"Never Mind"! Keep em coming! I might even see myself on one of them oneday!!!!:PDT_Aliboronz_11:

Tell yer what gimme some roads you used to tinker down and some places, when the fix the server I'll see what shows from the cobwebs. :)
Thanks! but I was being 'sarcastic'!!!! I know I'm 'getting on', left the city in 1963, and a lot of the photo's you've posted show Liverpool just as I remember it!!! My last trip home was in 1986. so things have changed a lot since then. Yo is a great way for me to keep in touch, visually! and I enjoy all the pics, old and new! Cheers:PDT_Aliboronz_24:
I gathered that,Norm...but I was runnin out of words and places and thought yer might throw a few streets into the searching. :)Quote:
