Errm.....dont think they're como's Georgie?!
Are they not? someones on about scooters and these shoes but if mem serves me right? the mods wore Desert boot type shoes and BassWeejuns.
The pic is of the italian style Como's
Is that what they were really called? I remember Brogues but Como's? musta been in fashion before I got fashionable. :)
Here ya go GP just 4u mate, sadly they aint as cool in suede.

Wooo,I can find you a pair of brogues that look exactly like those.
Cheers GP, I have a pair of Oxblood Cheaney Brogues, had them about 14+ yrs still look like new
Got an email reply from F W Shoes, seems if enough people show interest,
they would bring them back,Ive sent from 5 email accounts lollol
Scousers,your Comos need you:PDT11
lol :handclap:
Cheers Zap,well its my duty to inform them WE want Comos, sent a link to this site for there
retro marketing guy, well we live in hope,
oops NO we live in Ireland, for our sins lol
I wear the Desert boot, have done for 40 years, never heard of Comos !
A bespoke cobbler will make you up a pair in leather, now that you have a suede photie of what they look like.
Be exspensive but at the end of the day if you found a supplier that sells them they too would also be expensive.
I see Wynsdors shoes are selling FW brand shoes at £30 a pair
Well done Savo, just need everyone who is interested to do the same and we could be walking proud once more. Cheers.
I must grow what little hair I have and get meself a Velvet collar Jacket, I'd look bloody sweet, not !
Hi Guys, just got this email from FW shoes,
Al is the guy who is trying to remake Comos,
Hi Savo
Thanks for the mail
We have hunted high and low for this shoe.
My dad was involved in the 70's at Frank Wright and he can't find any pics or samples and there is nothing on the net
If any of your guys have samples/pics please forward them and we will have another go at sourcing the shoes
Cheers
Al
Regards,
Alasdair Gorrod

Alls I can say is....these must not have been popular because of their lack of pictures on the net,I mean there.s wedgies, winklepickers, suedes, brogrues from the 60's.
Maybe the shoe was called summat else but the brand was comos?
Cheers GP, they were Comos,it's Italian style, also we wore Italian Tassle Loafers,
they were origionaly made and sold by F W and Saxones, just a shame no pics survive,
but I bet someone has a pair or a photo, ive looked through photos of skins but there all wearin DM's
Why does he need photos when they are selling comos in suede already, they just need to make them to the same spec but in leather..??.
I've a pic of me outside Buckingham Palace on a school trip..
I've got black Comos on, complete with real steel tips..
my parallels are 5 inches above my Comos..
I've a white Bennie on and a pair of yellow braces... and a dowser of a skinhead....
I dont post pics of me or anything relating to me or mine Sav... sorry mate...
(The Comos are a bit vague anyway mate.. about 10 foot away..)
Gerard.
Cheers Gerard,
shame you cant photoshop them, without loosin mp's
but understand your reasons mate,I am the same
my job is behind the camera, not in front:PDT11
The suede shoes shown aren't in the style of the original leather
They were flatter over the instep and had bigger stitching around the
Edge of the shoe. They also had leather soles.
Spot on Johno,Thats why they moulded around the shape of your foot:PDT11
Which is why I cannot see where the "steel toecaps" that others have written about come from another brand perhaps mistaken for the real Comos.
---------- Post added at 12:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:18 AM ----------
Then again am I mixing steel tips and toecaps up?
Yes the moulded around your foot and always had a dent in the front
by your toes.
