Nice area Granssendale.
Is It part of Garston?
So It's a separate area.
I would of called It the greatest part of Garston otherwise.:PDT10
The two railway bridges used to be much more interesting... when I was a young idiot...:), I discovered that it was possible to drive fast enough Northbound on Salisbury Rd. to get a Ford Anglia airborne over the hump backed bridge - just as I discovered the upcoming left turn....

Had a good mooch down there yesterday as I hadn't been down Beechwood Road since I ran up it at the 20 mile mark in the Liverpool marathon during the 1980s. I remember going back the following sunday to look at the mansions I 'd seen across the way.

Hi G.D.,
great pic's of a lovely area!Did you notice the plaque/sign on the gatekeepers cottage(pic' 3,Ithink?) It commemerates the good job he did,but I can't remember the dates involved, and I guess the "estate" as it was, doesn't exist any more,so it's just another private property!
Lovely pics GD, I've merged them with the existing thread.

These mansions stand out well from over in Eastham, they all have their entrances on the side,I presume to keep the wind off the river away.
