A colour pic of that taken by Peter Leeson then on the town planning is in his new book.
The architect for this building was richard seifert, and in my opinion was a brilliant design, as pointed out just a bit shabby due to lack of maintenance. It was even surveyed and told there was nothing wrong with the building and complied with all modern day health & safety issues, there was also a campaign to save it but didn't succeed. As usual the council take the easiest option by demolishing it....terrible!

Another Peter Leeson shot. He actually left the architects planning dept disgusted at the policies of demolishing old buildings and made the film 'us and them' as a protest about the people of Scottie Road against the town planners.
Who gets the land ? And if they build what goes there? I would like to see a giant statue of Maggie May who they say will never walk down that street any more :002:
They said a lady of the night haunted the street around the David Lewis :ninja:
Not sure but looks like it'd be something on London Road?
I went exploring today and eventually found what i was looking for.Attachment 9281
