Cheers Reg, enjoyed a little browse through it, fascinating stuff!
Thats brilliant, nautic trader :)
Am thinking of getting an oil tanker. What ya gonna buy ?
I wanna be one of them Trawlermen off the telly. I'd love to have a go at that.
Quite a few trawlers on there, underworld :)
changed me mind, I want a ferry. Do ya think I'd be allowed to just sail it across the mersey ?
Lets just say you bought a boat like a trawler, I wonder how much it would cost to berth it and presumably you would need a licence to fish and operate as a trawler. It must cost a fortune and thats before you consider wages/diesel/maintenance.
All those idiots in Brussels, in the European Union will stop you from Fishing.
If we come out of Europe you may have a chance.
British Fishing Inspectors are out all day and everyday checking on Fishing Boats finding out who is fishing and what have you caught, then fine you a hundred thousand pounds, scrap your boat and bancrupt you because they operate to the letter the European fishing regulations. I see them every day in Fleetwood, the Inspectors take photos of the boats in port, if your not there they want to know where you have been. The Royal Navy backs them up and board the fishing boats checking on them.
The French, Spanish and Belgian fishing vessels can fish as much as they want because they do not inspect and check on their own boats.
I'll take the Motor Yacht from Spain.. only asking $3,500,000.00.... Can anyone send me some cash... :handclap:
Good site ...
If I win the lottery I will sail it over for you, Miss Lilac.
Want a ship? Going cheap!!! One of the largest oil tankers? Largest container ships? Take your pick.

12%of the world's ships are laid-up. An armada of around 500 vessels are at Johor near Singapore. Larger than the US & UK navies combined.
Amazingly the shipyards are still operating 100% and deliveries of new vessels are being taken. Newer vessels are cheaper to run in fuel costs.
It beats me why ships are not being laid-up in Liverpool and Birkenhead Dock. There is the space and the "security" - no pirates.

Probably because they are there and we are here. Have to move them around the World.
That's an amazing pic',just wonder what they do with them,if they dont sell....scrap them?!
