Surely this superb Victorian building off Lark Lane does not deserve to rot.
One of my mates used to live on Ivanhoe Rd in a flat and it was really top quality! The entrance chamber alone you'd have paid to live in!
That's gone down the nick since last I saw it. Wonder if it'll be restored in the Park Palace [next door] plans currently under the council? There is some nice detailing on it.
Edit-I was recently told the Park Palace is going to be opened up for plays and stuff possibly as part of the biennial. I hope so. ;)
Dave.
Bump as editing the last post didn't kick the topic up.
Dave.
Did anyone make it inside the Park Palace as part of the biennial? i went to see it when it was supposed to be open with an exhibition, but it wasn't,with no notices on it to say why. Grr.
Dave.

Beldam Asbestos co./Lascar House, Waterloo Road has finally collapsed. There was a photo in the Liverpool Echo.
Not the greatest of photos but here's the link
There's a couple of pics of that on my site, I know Gregs dad has one too.
Beldam Asbestos Co, March 2009. There were other cracks around this building when I took this picture. Newspaper reports state this was a pub at one time.

Does anyone here know anything about the pub? (Ged?)
Have to nosey in one of my books as I only ever knew it as Beldam although it always looked more like Bedlam :)
Right, here we go, it was indeed a pub called the Anglo American Hotel. It was Lascar house when last in use, the adjoining property was destroyed by fire in 1994.

Great pics guys. I look around Liverpool now and see the homes built in the seventies, a lot of them are being knocked down. At least the Victorian and Edwardian homes lasted a hundred years.
Hello guys my first time posting in this area of the forum haha, Here we go,
