It's nothing New!!....Everything revolved when I came out of there,after a 'Session'....and that was 'Forty' Years ago....:PDT_Aliboronz_24:
That,s nothing mate, it would have to revolve for me to go in there in the first place:PDT_Aliboronz_24::PDT_Aliboronz_24::PDT_Alib oronz_24:
I've heard nothing about this being made into a trendy bar but I think it's a great idea if it is.I thought that revolving bit would've looked a bit daft on a derelict building, the last thing you want to do is draw attention to it.
Brings a whole new meaning to whose 'round' is it?
Remember when St John's Tower revolved? Nah! Didn't think so.
Jeezus! How I hate all you young Scouse whippersnappers and all that you have to look forward to in Liverpool! You don't deserve it.
I fought in the war in for you lot. Canny Farm v Kirkby:PDT_Aliboronz_24:
Hey Dave I remember when St John,s revolved. Went there twice for a quiet meal with a friend:Colorz_Grey_PDT_16:know what I mean like? Prices at the time were £14 for us both in the early seventies with the bottle of Blue Nun as well:rolleyes:
I went once when it revolved too, for the novelty then up to the observation deck.
I also remember the Canny mob's HQ too.
I went there once as well, I think the prices had come down by the time I went. The one problem was that if you went to the toilet by the time you came back out your table had moved and you did not know wheather to chase it or wait for it to come around again! :)
Where Is Canny Farm?
I hear people called It Cannibal Farm for a laugh.:PDT_Aliboronz_24:
Any Pics?
Catching the train at Moorfields yesterday, saw the revolving part of Yates and was quite impressed. Something different anyway. Bet it'll make a few people do a double take and check their glasses!
I read about this ages ago.
Isn't it just going to be an art piece on a derelict building before the building gets demolished?
I don't think I heard of any bar reopening.
There is no bar there - the building is very definitely derelict.
Errrrrrrraaaeee..make it Into an ordinary pub again..

Got no pictures of Cannibal Farm Max, but lots of memories mate. Ged, not the Barley Mow...it brings back me phantom eebie jeebies. arms and legs hanging up behind the bar waiting for their occupants to come and claim them.
I lived there when it was Stockbridge Village too, maybe still is. They put paths in for people to walk on instead of the road.
one of my fellow workmates from Mill Road Hospital was killed walking in the road there when there was no pathways.
Heres the latest story about it.

And here is a video of it in action.

Great link Rodders thanks, and nothing like I imagined it to be, thought it would be horizontal and revolving.
I imagined it would be like the tower one, where you could stand with your pint ha ha and one minute you'd be in the pub and the next minute outside. I mean, you'd spill your pint in that thing wouldn't you :unibrow:
not if you,ve drunk it first Gedrick:PDT_Aliboronz_24:
I know what I'd like to do with it..How long do these people go to Art college or Lipa or whatever its called to produce this crap..
I PAY FOR THAT RUBBISH..
Jaeeeeeeessssssssusssss...There are people on hospital waiting Lists and wards closing and yet the plonker who made that crap gets funding..
SORT IT OUT.. NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW..Lol..
At least my Lad came out of there with a Teaching degree..
He'd get the worst Neck Slap ever if he ever started coming out with all this kinda Arty Farty rubbish..
Gerard, ask him to design a revolving one at the pier head and put all these weirdos on it and when it turns to face the Mersey, the floor drops out. Rodders can be on standby to video it too :)
Thanks for that Rodders. I quite like it it,s so out of this world. I could see that type in Lime Street somewhere, maybe on the side of St Georges Hotel.
That,s what I call opening the window:p
Seriously though, I take it it's actually funded privately and isn't out of the local taxpayers pocket, if so they'll just persue whatever they'll get planning permission for, I suppose it's a talking point, whether it'll bring in sightseers I don't know, I don't see burger vans and ice cream vans raking it in on Moorfields.
Yeah cheers mate, when I sent you the last PM you see, it said the recipients inbox was full. It's ok now, ta.
